Lost Hope

Four-corner cage
Prison sentence
25 years of despair and lost hope
Drained soul
Blackness eyes
Lost Hope
Scars within my skin
Bleeding cracks gushing through
Flooding everywhere
Drowning in my red sea of lost hope.

Author's Note: I was suffering with depression.

Damned Pleasures

The world said
Let go
They hide behind corners
in the shadows
Sweeten embrace
Damned Pleasures
Soldiers of Ignorance
Coming in between
Modern Romeo and Juliet
Hope or despair?
Time will tell!

Author's Note: I was inspired by an novel.

New America

Change is coming
A new year begins
History rewritten
Peace little at a time
A New America
No more tears
No more fears
We become united
Americans and Everyone
We can now restart it
Saving the world rock by rock
A New America...
A New Beginning...
A New Life!!!

Author's Note: This poem is for the first bi-racial President Barack Obama.

Angel Mother

My Angel Mother
My Best Friend
Your dancing with the angels now
Flying in the skies high and low
Bringing joy and love unto the world
I carry you with me
And I know your near
Watching and Protecting
Deepening your love with us all
My Angel Mother...Best Friend!

Author's Note: Dedicated to my mother on the anniversary of her death.

Sisters of Solitude

I thought we were friends
But you judged me
Isolated me
Sisters of Solitude
Cold-Shoulder statues
Spewing lies and hate
Abandon me when I needed you most
You left me cold and empty
Sisters of Solitude
Past life is dead
Replace by a new hollow being.

Author's Note: This is about my school, I was isolated by everyone in the class. They judged me saying I was a noisy person because I used to stare at them, but what they didn't know I've been doing that when I was a child when I was bored I would stare off to space. I could be looking at you and not know what the hell you were saying, so they would sit together everyday at lunch and I would sit by myself even someone I thought was my friend was force to sit next to me by a teacher, so I won't be alone and she was a bitch about it.

We Are

"United" States
What a joke
We let our guard down
and now we're broke
An bi-racial and white men
running for our future
Fear flowing through our lands
Tempers flaring, hatred bubbling
United we do not stand
We are divided!
One nation we use to be
Choose the white man
and we will be blinded
Too late to see
We are divided
and he is our enemy!!!

Author's Note: It's obvious I'm speaking about McCain and the Republicans who refuse change.
I wrote this poem during the campaign.

Bruised

Strolling through the night
Holding me tight
You didn't seem to care
Never would I thought the end was near.
I went to see you
And another love was there
Vampire friend knew your secret
A stranger broke your silence
Breathless I became
You used me for her
My heart broke came and went,
Bruised for awhile
I've healed since
Haven't thought of you!

Author's Note: A guy I loved in High School broke my heart when I found out he used me to get revenge on his girlfriend who cheated on him, a girlfriend I didn't know existed!!!

Journey Through

We fought our enemies side to side
We cried when we buried our mother
We bonded when we lost our brother
We Journey Through
We survived our father's abuse
We got stronger after we were used
We Journey Through
Our friendship has been through many
and we will journey through!

Author's Note: This poem is about my friendship with my brother C.

Corruption

Faceless form standing beside me,
Grinning from ear to ear
I didn't notice that I befriended
a life-sucking vampire
Secrets told, feelings shared
a knife levelled behind my back
I thought I could trust you
and now I'm disgusted
My life hasn't come back
People abandoned a ghost of a girl
While they claimed you queen
My scars haven't healed
and your corruption is sealed
While your suffering is near
I wait behind you
Grinning from ear to ear.

Author's Note: This poem is about my best friend in high school who betrayed me.

Hypocrite

You promise paradise
You promise family
We went home and things began to change
You tore us apart
Put us against each other
and nothing remain the same
You accuse us of things
Abused us emotionally
and haven't even said sorry
You shrug, you deny, you claim your innocence
Leaving us with scars underneath
No proof of what you've done
You get to walk away free
No one sees a hypocrite but the victims you left behind...
Which is me!

Author's Note: I wrote this about my brother R when we lived together and things turned sour.

Spirit

Whisper winds flow through my veins and mind,
Horses running to the left and right of me.
I stare at the twilight sky,
Hypnotize by the bright pearl.
I drink in its beauty a bathe in natures' tears.
Spirit of the wild within.

Author's Note: This poem is about my independence I wish I had when I was 16 and be free from my father.

Author's Note

My poems are sometimes dark and light, so if you can't stomach the dark ones then don't read the following:

Bitter Memories

Hypocrite

Corruption

Sisters of Solitude

Lost Hope

(~Small laugh~ Titles say it all)

I've written two poems about my mom, one when she passed away named "Shadow of Silence" and "Angel Mother" which I wrote on the anniversary of her death last year.

I wrote two poems about the election last year, one about McCain and the other about our new President Barack Obama.

One poem is a love poem, one is a sibling bond I have with my brother C.

One poem is about freedom.

The one I'm working on is called "Metamorphoses", it's about my evolution to womanhood.

As soon as I have a chance I will add these new poems here.

Love,
J
